No, of course not. Any therapist can use it, no matter the approach. CBT is just the most common and the one we know best, so we built it with CBT in mind. But you can customize the worksheets, the client portal, and the whole experience to fit your practice and your clients' needs.

Most therapy websites are brochures. my-cbt adds the working part: client portal, homework, scheduling, intake forms. Your command center sits on a subdomain like portal.yourpractice.com so your existing site stays exactly as it is.

Yes. The portal lives on its own domain, separate from your main practice site. You can use a subdomain of your existing domain like portal.yourpractice.com, or register a new dedicated domain just for the portal. Either way, your existing site is not touched.

Once we have your domain choice and your payment clears, your portal goes live the same day. Most setups finish in under three hours.

No. We handle the install end to end. You get an email when your portal is live, along with clear instructions for taking ownership of the Cloudflare account that hosts it. You set the password and become the sole administrator. That's it.

No. They visit your site, log into the portal, that's it. Works on any modern browser, on phone, tablet or computer.

One-click sync to Apple Calendar and Google Calendar. New bookings appear automatically. You can run my-cbt as your only calendar, or layer it on top of one you already use. You can turn on or off the reminders and notifications as you like.

HIPAA governs what happens to PHI when a vendor handles it. We never receive yours. Your install runs on a Cloudflare account registered to you, and the database lives in that account too. We push code updates via a scoped token that can write code but cannot read your data. Cloudflare, which hosts your account, is your processor for that data, not us. Because no PHI flows to my-cbt, no Business Associate Agreement is needed between us.

Yes, by the same architecture. You are the data controller. Your clients' data sits on infrastructure in your name, in your account. We're not a processor in the GDPR sense because nothing client-related ever touches our servers.

Inside a Cloudflare account registered in your name. We set up the account, install your portal in it and transfer it to you. You set the password and become the sole administrator. Only you and Cloudflare, as the host, have technical access.

Only if you choose to add a name field. By default, clients are referenced by an anonymous case number (e.g., A9721). You can create as many custom fields as you'd like and save case file templates for new entries.

No. The application runs in your Cloudflare account, on your data. We push code updates with a scoped token that can write code but cannot read what is in your database. On our end we only see messages you send our support team or your business coach.

If you cancel, the data stays in your Cloudflare account, under your control. Before we remove the application, you can export everything in one click for portability. You can also pause your membership for one, two or three months, which keeps the portal running as read-only and gives you time to decide.

my-cbt is a subscription. The data you and your clients enter saves only on your database, but the application code runs on a codebase we maintain. Every update releases automatically to your portal, no action on your end.

Yes. No long-term contracts. Change, pause or cancel your plan whenever you want. If you cancel, you get a one-click export prompt before we remove the application from your install. The data itself stays in your Cloudflare account under your control. If you pause, the portal goes read-only. You can still look up old cases but cannot add new clients or sessions until you unpause.

Yes. Pause for one, two, or three months from your account settings. You're not charged during the pause. Your portal goes read-only so you can still look up old cases.

Yes. Each session has a notes field that's only visible to you. Notes save with the session, so they show up in the case file timeline next to homework and progress.

Yes. Edit any of the 50+ templates, or build your own from scratch. No limit on how many you keep.

Kudos is an opt-in points system you control per client. You decide what counts: homework on time, streaks, thought records, whatever you like. Clients see their score in the portal. Some find it motivating, some don't, so you can turn it off entirely for clients it isn't right for. From testimonials of our beta users, it was the most upvoted feature, as it seems to help with engagement and homework compliance for many of their clients.

No. Video is its own category and we'd rather not be a mediocre version of Zoom or Doxy. Use whichever video tool you already trust.

Right now my-cbt is built for solo therapists. Each install is one therapist. If you have associates, each gets their own portal and their own subscription and separated caseload. We don't have a multi-therapist feature yet, but if that's something you'd like to see, email support and let us know.

No. We don't handle insurance, claims, or superbills. my-cbt is the clinical and client-facing layer. Pair it with whatever billing tool you already use.

Human. AI doesn't yet understand the specific dynamics between a therapist and their clients, and that understanding is the difference between generic advice and a plan that fits your practice.

Done work, way beyond traditional coaching. They rewrite your Psychology Today profile, fix your cancellation policy, design a referral campaign, get a web programmer to build your website or redo your intake questionnaire. You pick the priority. They deliver.

No. Coaching is an add-on inside my-cbt because the work and communication with the business coach happen through your portal.
